The Territory Manager plays a significant role in continued growth and profitability of the Company. The extent of the contribution is dependent upon self motivating personnel to perform at the desired level of productivity requires leadership by action as well as management skills and ability.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sale of products and/or services offered by Pool Tech to maximize profits and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Develop long term trusting sales relationships with customers.
Follow up on customer orders to ensure that they were delivered on time and that they received the correct products and/or services.
Follow up on customer?s objections or problems and ensure that the problems are solved and the customer is satisfied.
Communicate immediately with customers when there is a problem with their order.
HUMAN RELATIONS AND OTHER SKILLS
Help customers maintain the highest water quality possible.
Keep customers informed of new products and services or cost saving devices to ensure that their pool/spa is safe and clean while lowering operating costs.
Participate in special commercial pool/spa promotions.
Be familiar with the State of Iowa swimming pool and spa codes and help operators utilize the code in their best interest.
Test commercial water samples as needed.
Contribute to the Commercial Pool and Spa Newsletter.
Attend all meetings assigned by Management.
Maintain a constant sense of urgency and employee morale throughout the company.
Attend and participate in industry and other management training programs and seminars to enhance his/her knowledge of the industry.
Project a positive image and protect Pool Tech?s image of honesty, integrity and fairness at all times.
Keep abreast of changes and innovations that could affect the performance and profitability of the company.
Maintain an open line of communication with all levels of the company for day-to-day activities and planning.
Keep the Commercial Pool & Spa Team Coach informed of any problems concerning the activities of his/her job and the Commercial Pool & spa Team.
Know, understand, and follow all pertinent company policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines.
Establish and maintain a positive operating or ?can do? philosophy/attitude regarding employee relations and internal operations. This philosophy/attitude must be disseminated throughout the company.
Perform any additional duties not specifically stated herein, but which may be assigned by management and those that are logically and properly inherent to the Territory Manager?s , the Territory Manager interacts with the Commercial Coordinator and the CPS Coach. Externally, he/she interacts with Pool Tech customers.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
College degree or equivalent, certified pool operator/instructor license, experience in Pool/Spa industry, 2-5 years experience in sales training, strong Microsoft Office skills, valid drivers license and insurance certificate. Must be willing to become a certified pool Has the physical capability of handling, lifting and moving weights up to 95 lb. Must have a current driver?s license and be able to operate trucks, cars, vans, etc. Must be insurable by Pool Tech?s insurance provider and must pass drug tests and a physical exams.
