SUMMARY
Analyzes and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger; prepares managerial and financial reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for closing of financial statements, reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and sub accounts.
Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other financial reports.
Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
Prepare various financial and account analysis as required by business.
Responsible for review of sales commission.
Responsible for the review of payroll and other payroll related reconciliations at month and year end accounting.
Maintains physical inventory count, maintains inventory balances in the systems, ensures accuracy in financial records, and ensures reconciliation at month and year end.
Performs integrity review of Stock Status, A/R Trade & Sales Reports.
Reviews, approves, and coordinates off-condition and other inventory entries into the system.
Codes AP invoices and routes to appropriate approvers.
Responsible for coordinating, preparing, reviewing Brandy Tax, Sales/Use Tax, and Beer/Wine Tax filing with Corporate Accountant and proper agencies.
Develops, implements, modifies, and documents accounting systems.
Adapts accounting and recordkeeping functions to current computerized accounting systems technology.
Conducts special studies, develops, or recommends enhancements to accounting methods and procedures.
Interacts with external auditors and vendors.
Active participant in annual internal audit.
Utilizes computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information.
Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics plus 2 years? experience in Accounting or Finance reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience with MS Excel at an intermediate level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics plus 5 years? experience in Accounting or Finance reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Audit experience.
Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and customers.
Experience in MS Word, BPC, MS PowerPoint and JDE or other business system at a basic level.
Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
Experience working with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and applying them to practical situations.
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
