IT Director Job Opening in Houston, Texas - The IT Director will provide strong technical leadership to assure the integrity, reliability, and security of the company's server based systems, storage and networks. Oversee the development, maintenance, operation and support of all hardware and software systems for the organization. Provide direction to improve information technology delivery and efficiency for the company by constantly analyzing and evaluating the systems. Maintain hardware and software security and ensure HIPAA security compliance. Identify business requirements and apply appropriate hardware and software technologies to meet requirements. Safeguard data by having solid backup, business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Manage vendor relationships in an effort to lower cost and improve service and support. Direct and supervise the activities and services of the server, network, application, support and document & imaging teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree is required. A MIS or CIS degree is preferred.
Technical requirements include 5 or more years of experience in the following: Active Directory, NAS/SAN, Database Servers (MS SQl),Email Servers, Cisco and HP network , Firewall , Web filtering, HP Servers/Blade technology, eFax software, Antivirus/spyware, Business continuity/disaster recovery, Systems security
Five or more years? experience of multi-project management
Privately owned company experience
Network Management experience preferred
Database management & design experience a plus
Report writing & design experience a plus
