My name is David and I'm the Director of Operations at . We're an online audio book retailer and audio & video learning resource. We're a startup out of Santa Monica and have been in operation for 6 years now. We're looking for a summer intern that can come in a few days a week and work on tasks for our website in the areas of SEO, search marketing, online advertising, web analytics, social media, blogging, email marketing, etc. We'll show you the ropes and teach you about these areas and then let you get in and start working on this stuff. We're looking for someone that can come into our office 3 days per week for 4 hours in either the mornings or afternoons. We're very flexible and it's just two of us in the office here currently in a very relaxed atmosphere that is two blocks away from the beach. We'll pay you a $300/month stipend. Join us and you should learn a lot about what it takes to run a lean startup. You must have good general internet knowledge and you're own laptop computer. If you have some web knowledge in the areas of marketing and search engine optimization that'd be a bonus. We work with Google properties a lot: Analytics, Adwords, Adsense, etc. so any knowledge in those areas is good as well. And knowledge of utilizing Facebook and Twitter for promotions would be good.
