Inside Sales Specialist-Ecommerce Job Opening in Kent, Washington - Classic Accessories is the national leader in outdoor vehicle and patio furniture covers and is expanding into other outdoor living categories like umbrellas, cushions and hammocks. We are seeking an ecommerce sales specialist familiar with selling consumer products through the online retail channel.
POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY : To generate new customer sales and enhance sales of existing online customers. Work with internal teams such as , Purchasing, Operations and Customer Service to support success. Continue to build and grow relationships while increasing product category placement, sales, and profitability with existing ecommerce customers. Our goal is to become the most recognized outdoor lifestyle company. This role is a pivotal position in helping us achieve this strategy & vision.
This is a full time position based in Kent, WA.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
% of time allocated Job Function
25 % Research and identify new customer opportunities and strategize approach. Reach out to potential customers via phone and email; enter related into CRM and track ?close? results weekly.
25 % Perform systematic review of existing business to identify product expansion opportunities and missing products. Collaborate with customers and provide them with support materials to improve their sell through. Work with customers and direct them to the retail portal on the CA website. Identify opportunities and manage in the CRM.
25 % Work with internal teams on content for on-line customers, videos, sizing charts and promotions with on-line and retail customers. Track promotion campaign success in CRM. Provide customer pricing to be consistent with Navision price levels.
15 % Work with internal sales and marketing teams on independent trade show leads. Collaborate with the marketing team on email/constant contact notifications specific to new product launches.
10 % Work with customers on training them to use the B2B portal to track orders and shipping.
5 % Identify new product opportunities and share finding with Sales Team, Product Development and Marketing teams. Attend new product trainings and any other training to improve performance
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
THE SALES TEAM: This position is designed to increase independent accounts primarily online retailers. Continue working closely with existing customers and prospect and find new opportunities. In this capacity, the incumbent is reviewing each customer?s sales and making expansion recommendations for each customer. The sales team will share success stories and feedback on product. The position is expected to also research and identify new customers, develop a profile and collaborate with internal teams. The incumbent will need to develop exceptional skills in communicating proposals, actions and results in support of the agreed upon strategy with Marketing, Customer Service and the Sales Team.
CLASSIC OPERATIONS: For the account base which this Sales Associate managers directly, he/she will need to understand and be able to effectively establish sales within guidelines pertaining to pricing, product inventories; shipping and routing requirements, Terms and conditions, product returns and disputes. Work closely with Accounting on the set up of new accounts, and help resolving customer account issues/questions.
TRAINING REQUIRED:
Professional knowledge of Retail and Online business acumen, including written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, especially Excel; detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities and requests with accuracy
Merchandise trend analysis experience; experience developing strong business relationships with both internal & external customers
High level product knowledge-acquired and maintained
In depth understanding and adherence to order management processes
Navision/CRM training continual
Demonstrates appetite and ability to learn
SUCCESS FACTORS :
Daily:
Review incoming orders & prepare morning sales reports for team
Browse current & potential customer websites
Develops and maintains strong internal/external working relationships that foster mutual respect, teamwork and results
Track all important communication with customers
Update contacts in CRM
Shows initiative for raising issues, concerns and ideas to team & manager
Weekly :
Review account sales & profitability
Review weekly summary on CRM
Generate a pipeline of 10 potential leads a week. (Determine close rate)
Interact with customers via phone and email
Own item setup & maintenance projects
Meet with Ecommerce/Marketing Team on project/task tracking & communication needs
Identify promotional & clearance items the Marketing Team can share/highlight through social media outlets
Weekly touch base one on one meetings with manager
Monthly:
Review account sales & profitability
Track Lead Generation in CRM
Track promotions where applicable
Monthly program assortment reviews with major customers
Email tools specifically tied to new products
Quarterly/YTD: Recap of Monthly reports listed above
Review account sales & profitability
Constant Contact blast quarterly
Work with internal ecommerce/marketing team on ideas
Creation of promotional calendar, tracking, and reporting for entire sales team to leverage
Submit new item suggestions to PD Team based on trends/ customer needs/ competition
Send out hand written thank you cards
Help provide account level sales forecasts
Comprehends company vision and related initiatives
Review Top 500 & Second 500 Internet Retailer listing
Identify marketing opportunities on top accounts
