The Controller will be expected to exceed performance goals by constantly innovating and improving the existing controller processes and functions. It is important that the controller brings a high-level of customer service skills, intellect, creativity, and problem-solving skills to constantly work towards evolving the way our company operates.
CONTROLLER OVERVIEW:
The Controller will partner with the CEO, COO, and department leaders in managing all day to day accounting functions, in effectively interpreting and communicating data, and in employing that data for strategic planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and Oversee monthly customer billings and ensure accuracy of the billing process
Process and apply customer payments and manage accounts receivable
Enter and review all accounts payables, commissions payable, and expense reimbursements
Maintain standard company financial statements (accrual basis)
Work with third party payroll provider to ensure accurate accounting of payroll
Conduct monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements, budget to actual reporting, and internal dashboard reports for CEO and COO
Provide leadership team with financial modeling and ad hoc financial analysis to supports strategic planning
Prepare annual company budgets and updated monthly forecasting
Coordinate with the external tax accountant for tax return and prepare annual Form 1099 reporting for company
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience with knowledge of GAAP Accounting
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting required, CPA and/or MBA (plus)
Expertise in QuickBooks accounting software
Excellent Excel skills
Experienced in structuring and managing the financial reporting function of a small privately held business, and a preference for entrepreneurial environments.
Experienced in managing the books, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flow
Detail oriented and quality focused with strategic perspective
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
