Role
We are seeking a dynamic enterprise level sales and marketing or business development executive to serve as VP of Sales and Business Development. Someone that thrives on excitement, accountability and change. Someone that has enough technical acuity and aesthetic capability to add to a client?s vision.
You will have the opportunity to serve as a member of the senior management team, have ownership in developing and executing a strategic sales and marketing plan and adding new channels to enhance our excellent reputation as a valued partner serving global brands. Focused on four lines of business, creative agency, retail graphic communications, fabrication of corporate events, and corporate décor, our customers include , Google, Walmart, Ikea and other highly recognizable Fortune 1000 companies.
Aided by a proprietary software solution for clients, the right sales professional will be able to embed in the strategic brand building and execution challenges of our customers and leverage the capable production excellence of Image Options at the enterprise level.

As an organization, we are in the build and compete stage of our sales evolution, versus maintain or cull. We are transitioning legacy sales performers into enterprise level sales performers. Initial role will be player / coach moving to strategic implementation of the enterprise sales program continuing to move up market with our customers and added capabilities.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Sales and Business Development provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the organizations sales function. As the organization?s senior-most sales leader, the VP of Sales is accountable for overall sales organization planning and performance, the profitable achievement of sales organization goals, and for aligning sales objectives with the firm?s business strategy; Maximizing profits, achieving greatest penetration of existing markets, securing high value new client targets and retaining the company's customers by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate sales personnel.
Responsibilities
Align the sales organization?s objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, budgeting and implementation.
Provide leadership to the sales organization?s management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Accountable for effective sales organization design, including sales job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment. Establishes and governs the sales organizations performance management system. This includes establishing guiding sales organizational principles for managing performance, establishing and prioritizing critical performance measures for all sales jobs; overseeing the equitable allocation of organization objectives across all sales channels, markets, and personnel; and ensuring all key sales and sales management associates are held accountable for assigned results.
Accountable for the sales organization support budget. Proactively assesses existing sales organization support investments, including those in technology, training, and administrative support. Ensures support investments yield productivity benefits consistent with established objectives. Provides managerial leadership to Sales Operations in meeting this responsibility, and works closely with the Chief Technology Officer to ensure technology initiatives are implemented consistent with firm technology strategy and client facing software solutions.
Leads sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.
Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
Track Record
Successful experience selling enterprise solutions to brand marketers within corporate and retail markets and building and growing a direct and channel sale strategy across multiple lines of business.
Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and corporate enterprise sales plan with a demonstrated track record of executing to plan. Experience hiring, onboarding, and managing a team of 20+ salespeople, of monitoring and evaluating sales representatives progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior to meet performance expectations.
Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team.
Successful experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities with $1MM+ annual spend target.
Proven experience working within a Lower Middle Market company environment (50MM ? 200MM) a plus and demonstrated track record of taking companies to the next level.
Successful integration of target acquisition sales forces is a plus as we are acquisitive.
Requirements ? Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities
A Minimum of 10 years? experience in sales, sales management, and marketing with a history of increasing year over year revenue and profitability. Experience in the graphic communications, event management, corporate and brand decor segments a plus.
5 years? minimum in an enterprise level or integrated multi line business sales function or management function.
Possess strong interpersonal communication skills and drive, with the ability to persuade and inspire sales staff. Requires strong skills in work planning and scheduling.
Ability to develop, implement, and modify as needed specific sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed the company?s revenue target and create sales commission and incentive programs that prioritize new business and larger account penetration.
Ability to oversee the sales training program to ensure that sales people can achieve set targets that support overall company revenue objectives.
Ability to set up sales KPI?s and manage to them compiling and reviewing quantitative sales data reacting rapidly to competitive and market activity, changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities and recommendations to the executive team.
Metrics Driven ? Success Measured
Revenue ? Ability to target 1MM+ enterprise level clients.
Sales Growth ? Currently achieving 20% per annum looking to expand systems and process as well as scalable solutions for clients to continue that level of growth and more.
Profit ? As a leader in digital with creative agency, retail graphic communications, fabrication of corporate events, and corporate décor we command industry leading margins.
Cost of Sale ? Marketing ROI is a must and be measurable and directed to enhance the engagement and sales process to produce leads to satisfied clients.
New Market Penetration ? Company prizes account diversity to de-risk the future and create greater diversity. Sales and marketing leader will be focused but open to strategic and profitable new niches and lines of business. Farmer style leader need not apply.
Qualifications
A Four-year college degree from an accredited institution.
Master in Business Administration or equivalent preferred
Minimum ten years of sales management experience in a sales environment.
