Scrum Master/Facilitator Job Opening in Ogden, Utah - Position Summary:
The Scrum Master/Facilitator is responsible for facilitating the Scrum process for up to four teams.
Essential Functions
Schedule and facilitate all necessary Scrum meetings/ceremonies
Facilitate creation and maintenance of team agreements
Maintain reports tracking project progress
Guide and coach the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to succeed
Assess the team?s effectiveness and coach them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable for the team and organization
Facilitate getting the work done by removing roadblocks
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and issue resolution
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency
Administer, or co-administer, the Agile software development management tool(s) used by the organization
Physical and Environmental Factors
Must be able to verbally communicate for extended periods of time
May be required to sit, or stand for extended periods of time.
The qualified candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
At least 2 years? experience in project management or meeting facilitation
Demonstrated ability to promote dialogue and to guide a group through the process of understanding an issue, considering multiple solution options, arriving at a decision, and determining the steps to implement it.
Demonstrated ability to provide the set of required reports
Success at leading teams through project completion
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of other Agile practices, including XP, Kanban, TDD, etc
Experience with distributed teams and/or vendor teams
Insurance industry knowledge and experience
Team leadership
