We are seeking well-established Sales Consultants / Business Development Executives to play a critical, leading role in our fast-growing, non-traditional, technology company. In this role, the Business Development Executive will manage sales activities in the specific sales region. We are looking for sales professionals to cover the Ocean City, MD and Salisbury, MD areas. This position requires an individual that can generate leads, create sales proposals, negotiate and procure sales contracts. The ideal candidate will exceed sales targets and establish solid long-term customer relationships.
We manufacture & install LED lighting fixtures and controls. The ability to sell high-technology products is very important. An aptitude for understanding and embracing changing technology is a must for this position.
Deliverables, Responsibilities
Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan.
Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities.
Prepares competitive quotes and closes sales.
Creates accurate sales forecasts that provide information to management forecasting each customer's potential revenue within the sales cycle.
Plan and prioritize territory sales activities to achieve agreed upon goals.
Plan, coordinate and conduct marketing activities, e.g., informational seminars and/or user group seminars. Attend and participate in Company sponsored trade shows
Ability to design and effectively implement both short-term and long-term business strategies.
Credentials, Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred
Industry experience is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office is required
Skilled at independent lead generation and cold calling.
Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
Excellent presentation skills
Detail oriented, sensitive to customer needs and company requirement for interaction to record and track customer information in company CRM program.
Ability to adapt creative solutions
Great networking capabilities
Ability to work with a team
Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision
Results oriented and driven with a focus on successfully completing projects
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
