Financial and Accounting Manager Job Opening in Indiana, Pennsylvania - A government contracting company is seeking and energetic and motivated team member to fill the position of Financial and Accounting Manager. This position reports directly to Senior Management, This position would be responsible for coordinating all activities of the accounting department; complete and manage accounting, financial, cash management, risk management, and information systems. Also must prepare monthly closing, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and related and subsidiary reports including accounts receivable, collections, and cash management. Must be able to work independently and communicate professionally with all levels of management, customers, suppliers, and staff.
Primary Description of job responsibilities:
Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets. This includes working with our outside CPA firm regarding the company?s annual ?Certified Financial Statements?.
Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports.
Directly involved in accounts payable department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders., core payroll processing, and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
Work with the outside CPA firm to insure the timely filing of corporate Federal and State income taxes..
Manage job cost methods and activities.
Manage banking relationships.
Oversee all general ledger transactions to ensure both proper accounting treatment and adherence to internal policies.
Prepare and analyze the monthly and quarterly financial statement reporting packages for distribution to managing member.
Work with our outside CPA firm to insure timely filing of all Federal and State tax returns.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
General Ledger and Financial Statements Analysis.
Keep up with industry advancements, recommending improvements through automation or other efficiencies.
The successful candidate:
Bachelor?s Degree in accounting or finance
5-10 years of hands on accounting managerial experience as listed above.
Strong organizational skills to manage projects, respond to senior management needs, meet business and accounting deadlines, and ensure timely follow-up.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access)
