The opportunity
The Institutional Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and maintaining institutional sales within her/his territory. This function will work in conjunction with the Director of Institutional Sales to identify qualified leads, convert those leads to long-term client, and service these clients effectively over time.
It is expected that the Institutional Sales Executive will focus on the following responsibilities:
Utilize Salesforce as a primary tool to rank the 30,000 institutions which we believe could benefit from our products and services,
Identify top prospects? decision maker and her/his contact information
Create and cultivate relationships with decision makers
Convert prospects to long term satisfied customers
Prepare and conduct formal, live and on-line presentations to prospects and clients on our products & services.
Prepare sales forecast with insights on variances and next steps to meet sales commitments.
Submit reports on activities, insights, sales volume, expenses, etc.
Collaborate with cross functional team members to support business efforts.
Communicate competitive activity (i.e. new products, pricing, promotions and placement).
Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational sessions, reviewing publications & participating in associations.
Ideal background
The successful candidate will possess the following key personal and professional characteristics:
Significant, successful and recent experience in BtoB sales ideally in the university and/or mental health markets
Track record of professional commitment and success (i.e. history of promotions and absence of series of failed positions as well as limited ?job?hopping?).
Demonstrated ability to create relationship and gain trust of clients
Experience in lead generation
Experience in maintaining and increasing account value
Strong communication and presentation skills
Education
An undergraduate degree is required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is additive, but not required.
Compensation
An attractive compensation package comprised of base salary and commission (50/50), and benefits will be constructed to attract outstanding candidates.
