Veterinary Technician-Full Time Job Opening in Boise, Idaho - Boise Cat Clinic is hiring a full time Veterinary Technician for our feline-only hospital. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with cats and who understands the bond between cats & their human families.
Veterinary Technicians will have the opportunity to apply their professional skills in anesthesia, dentistry, laboratory testing and diagnostics, patient nursing, and client service and education. Additional duties include care and maintenance of hospital equipment, surgical instrument cleaning and care, as well as various cleaning duties.

Excellent communication skills such as reflective listening, empathy, and the ability (both verbally and in writing) to convey information thoroughly and effectively are essential. Good nursing and technical skills (such as medication administration and venipuncture) are important, as many treatments and diagnostics are performed in the exam rooms with the cat owner(s) present.

Prior experience working as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician in a veterinary hospital is required. Candidate should also have a high school degree (or equivalent), competence in the English language, and good phone, math and computer skills.
