Staff Accountant Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - Frontier Management is seeking an outstanding Staff Accountant to handle multiple books for our increasing list of clients and communities.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing day to day accounting support to a group of communities including all Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables duties. Must possess basic clerical skills; typing, filing, and be able to work in an environment with multiple interruptions. The position requires a pleasant nature with a strong emphasis on customer service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Enters and posts accounts payable batches, verifies all coding per chart of accounts
Processes weekly accounts payable checks
Reconciles monthly bank statements
Reviews aging census/revenues report and reconciles to General Ledger
Reviews month-end accounts receivables for accuracy
Works with communities to rectify problems; training can be on-going
Works with communities on Medicaid payments and discrepancies
Enters monthly revenue journal entries
Answers phones and accepts appropriate information or messages
Maintains files including accounts payable, accounts receivable and year-end and audit files
Trains on-site and/or via phone with community office managers
Other tasks as assigned
Other Requirements:
3+ years Accounting experience
Experience working within MS Office suite; Excel knowledge required
Great Plains experience preferred
Good communication skills, verbal and written. Able to function as a productive team member
