Senior Tax Preparer Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - P* *osition: Senior Tax Preparer
We are an established, Denver-based, medium sized CPA firm with a variety of clientele. This is a full-time position with health benefits, IRA, and paid vacation after 60 days of full-time employment. Our firm is looking for a detail-oriented experienced Tax Preparer to join our growing team.
The following person will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Prepare and file federal and state tax returns
Advise clients in the tax preparation process
Reach out to clients to obtain and information required to file their accurate returns
Take incoming calls from clients to answer tax questions and set up tax preparation appointments
Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following all company procedures regarding information handling
Grow the business by promoting our services and expanding our client base
Assist with tax planning
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor?s and/or Master?s Degree in Accounting
2+ years experience in Public Accounting; familiar with tax preparation process for all entity types
CPA or in process of taking CPA exam
Experience with Lacerte Software
Experience with Engagement Software
Knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero

Commitment to excellence and high standards, both personally and professionally
Superior customer service skills (face-to-face, telephone, and email contact)
Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
Compensation:
$60,000 - $70,000 Depending on experience
