PT Lifeguard (Year-Round) Job Opening in harrisburg, Pennsylvania - PT Lifeguard (Year-Round) *** In order to be considered for this position, you must apply directly at *** JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of the guests at the pools of The Hotel Hershey. The hourly pay rate for this position is $8.80. Job Functions: Functions include: * Overseeing pool * Monitoring equipment and supplies * Assisting with special events and themed weekends * Maintaining proper water conditions in swimming pools * Attending departmental meetings * Maintaining pool area and environment and other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Basic Qualifications: * Must be at least 16 years of age or older. * Current American Red Cross certification in lifeguard training, CPR and first aid certification required. (Applicants must have obtained the certification or must be committed to obtaining certification within 4 weeks of application.) Additional Qualifications: * Proven employee/guest relations, problem solving, and organization skills. * Professional image representative of property image. Working Conditions: * Physical requirements include complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and ability to tolerate heat. * Must be able to lift a maximum of 75 lbs. * Schedule varies according to operational needs, but includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Normally, early shift begins at 6:00 a.m. and the late shift ends at 10:30 p.m. * Shifts for this position begin in July-August and will run throughout the year including indoor pool shifts through Fall/Winter.
