Sr. Financial Analyst Job Opening in Wilder, Idaho - Job Summary: This position reports to VP, Treasurer and Financial Analysis and interacts with financial analysis and planning. The Analyst role coordinates, structures, researches, generates and interprets financial related analysis for operations as directed. Under limited supervision, leads, researches and provides financial related analyses to assess the impact of transactions, business initiatives and long term projects. Works collaboratively within the organization to gather data for analysis.
Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Performs a variety of necessary tasks for all assignments including preparing work plan and schedule, completing detailed analysis and research, identifying options, preparing reports for management and recommending action or change based on findings.
Performs data analysis skills (create and analyze meaningful reports, merge data from multiple sources, run queries on existing data sources to evaluate analytics and analyze trends.
Gather information utilized by operations and FP&A for the Budget and Forecast.
Analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial Budgets and Forecasts and assess variances from actual results.
Implements and transitions to budgeting and forecasting software.
Responsible for all aspects of difficult projects that are broad in nature and require originality and/or ingenuity.
Support competitive analysis and reporting as directed.
Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management.
Proactively seeks out continuous improvement opportunities to the Company's existing Business Intelligence solutions.
Utilize financial analysis skills: variance analysis and activity-based costing (budgeting), return on investment and breakeven analysis (capital investments) and contribution margin and incremental costing analysis (growth strategies).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years? experience in financial analysis. CPA, CFA or MBA preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Financial modeling expertise (understand and analyze how an organization should collect, update and store data) a plus.
