Operations Manager/Bookkeeper Job Opening in Pasadena, California - Summary:
Our small and rapidly growing art and design company in Pasadena is looking for an experienced Operations Manager/Bookkeeper who has a forward-looking, growth-oriented mind-set to manage our casual and creative business. Our fun and unique products (books, journals, art, greeting cards and more) are sold in stores, galleries and in museum stores across the country. We?re looking for someone who can ensure smooth day-to-day operations and drive positive changes throughout the company as it continues to grow and expand.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day bookkeeping (AR/AP, bank reconciliations, accurate weekly/monthly reporting for principals)
Send payroll information to outside payroll company
Develop accounting routines to support daily operations
Payment of sales reps and maintaining accurate sales rep reports
File accurate sales tax returns
Overall management of assembly projects and shipping/receiving
Responsibility for file management and maintenance (digital and paper)
Set and monitor product production schedule using Asana
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory using Stitch
Skills/Knowledge:
Minimum of Associates Degree and Bookkeeper Certification
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
Stellar clerical skills with a strong attention to detail
Effective multi-tasking
Time management expertise
Self-starter with a hands-on attitude, capable of clear communication
A commitment to learning and growing professionally
Ability to demonstrate good business judgment and understanding of company's risk criteria and tolerance
MAC OS proficient
Quickbooks Online and Microsoft office
Expertise with Dropbox, Asana and Stitch a bonus
(Compensation: DOE)
