ESF Careers has been engaged by our client, a leader in the metal industry to help them find a Business Planner to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Manages the processing and scheduling of customer orders to optimize production and delivery performance;
Participate in supply chain improvement projects;
Provide manufacturing location with necessary analytical support to execute best practices;
Manages and controls work-in-process and finished goods inventory;
Arranges for shipment of orders inclusive to coordinate QA and operations release;
Drives change to improve business planning processes and methods;
Interacts with and supervises salary, union represented personnel.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, marketing, operations management or other related field is required. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred;
Minimum two years related experience;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various levels of management and outside suppliers;
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills;
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point;
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as Oracle, preferred;
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as necessary;
Ability to travel to meetings, training, etc. as necessary;
Must have business planning, production planning or demand planning (you may see any of these terms or even S&OP - but it would be a role where they were planning production and materials in operations);
Must have experience in steel or tubular products, ideally someone who has less than 10 years of experience.
