About Pacific Valves
Pacific® Valves, an operating location of CRANE ChemPharma & Energy that designs and manufactures highly engineered valves for power generation, refining, hydrofluoric alkylation service and delayed coker isolation.

Principle Duties:
Generate technical sales proposals or quotation to meet or exceed customer expectation in a timely manner.
Review all customer technical requirements for compliance to Pacific Valves design and engineering specifications, applicable codes, and applicable standards. (i.e. ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, ISO, etc.) is essential.
Ensure customer terms and conditions are carefully evaluated and are clearly identified during proposal stage to customer.
Work closely with cross functional departments (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Business Line Managers) during quote stage to ensure compliance and customer expectation can be met.
Learns existing Standard Work procedures, & tools required to size correct valve to meet or exceed customer needs.
Manages and tracks quotation logs, daily prioritization log, & submits all quotations thru company intranet site for approval prior to submitting any quote.
Embraces continuous improvement initiatives by modifying Standard Work procedures as necessary to improve quotation process.
Manages the receipt of customer purchase orders through order clarification, and order entry to ensure the quoted value matches purchase order and all requirements are clearly understood.
Establishes and maintains good communication channels both externally and internally.
Preforms direct sales calls with the Regional Sales Manger?s, and its manufacturing representative organization when necessary. Includes contract negotiations and product presentations. May require travel to customer in some instances.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance and Legal team to review and interpret customer contracts to ascertain compliance
Promotes guides, develops and trains other Inside Sales Engineers on Standard Work practices when needed
Maintain and prepare customer correspondence, both written and telephone communications, technical and commercial.
Works closely and coordinates with the entire Global Field Sales organization, and all levels of Pacific Valve management.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:
Preference of a B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering (or any associated Engineering discipline) or a technical college degree along with knowledge of valves or equivalent experience.
Prefer minimum two (2) year?s experience along with knowledge of valves or equivalent applications; new graduate Engineers are encouraged to apply for entry level positions with similar intern experience.
Demonstrated ability to work well with people and manage customer and quote/order activities effectively.
Proven and successful project management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with successful outcomes.
Possess excellent oral and written communication and computer skills.
Knowledge of fluid dynamics, materials, mechanical equipment, selling principles, technical order processing, project tracking system
Knowledge of valves or similar equipment, i.e. pumps, blowers, etc. .
Ability to read and understand complex industry/customer specifications (API, ANSI, ISO, etc.) and appropriately apply to product selection and technical proposal development.
Attention to details: Position calls for high level of attention to detail and quick execution of tasks
Intermediate or super user level Microsoft tools: Excel spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, Access
Thorough understanding of price, cost and resulting margins
Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines; ability to multitask and manage workload in a highly dynamic environment
High level of sense of urgency
Customer Service attitude at all times
