Manufactured by Electro Plastics Inc. in St. Louis, Mo., STEP is an award winning low voltage radiant floor heat system that combines the highest level of comfort, versatility, and durability with unmatched energy efficiency. Appropriate for both residential and commercial market, applications include primary (whole home) heating, supplemental floor warming, snow melting and roof de-icing systems. STEP is ideal for new construction, remodel and retrofit. STEP's unique and patented carbon polymer heating elements may also be powered using a 24VDC current which is of great interest to the "GREEN" and "RENEWABLES" building community.
Summary
An experienced, accountable technical sales professional in the New York City market responsible for new client acquisition, market presence expansion, sales presentations and revenue generation through negotiating and closing deals.
Sales Associate Responsibilities
Work independently from home or outside the office to formulate and implement sales strategies and campaigns
Analyze the New York City market and develop a business plan that will allow you to execute your sales goals in your specific market place
Research and use resources available specific to your market to determine the value of existing and prospective customer industries in order to have the highest success
Make phone calls to generate leads and acquire new customers that have a high potential for figure business (Architects, design building firms, contractors, sub-contractors)
Create and execute a variety of visually pleasing sales presentations that capture the attention of targeted audiences
Manage existing relationships and needs of current customers, while allocating time to acquire new business and close deals
Explain the value and benefits of the STEP Warmfloor system to people who are not familiar with it or have a preconceived idea of what radiant heat is and does
Communicate with potential customers, existing clients, and the corporate office
Maintain a sales CRM database which includes recording project information, contact, and account information, as well as daily event and activity updates
Keep up to date sales forecasts and projections for short and long term sales goals
Clearly articulate reports that convey revenue production, current or active projects, and potentials, as well as prospective business opportunities and plans
Maintain sufficient knowledge about the heating industry, radiant heating industry, industry, as well as the "green" or eco-friendly building community. Participate in industry events like trade shows or conventions
Credentials
Associate or bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years outside sales experience. Experience in construction, building or architectural sales is preferred but not required.

Strong communication skills among the company, existing customers, and potential clients. Being able to clearly articulate important information, reports or forecasts to the company as well as professional communication to customers
Above average computer skills in basic corporate programs like Microsoft Office
Need to be able to maintain sales CRM program
Use programs like PowerPoint or Prezi to have visibly pleasing sales presentations that capture audience attention
Use Microsoft Excel for reports, forecasting and communication of sales progress to the corporate office as well as for personal organization and benefit
Email communication between customers at all times, as well as the company or other sales reps
Earning Structure
Competitive base pay and on target earnings with uncapped earning potential. Annual base salary is paid in the form of bi-weekly paychecks with a quota based commission being paid monthly based on contracted sales.
