Morgantown, WV?s leading commercial real estate firm is seeking a talented accountant to join its accounting department (~ 6 accountants) and dynamic team (~ 18 people). The real estate firm is a proven performer in the areas of commercial development, leasing, property management, consulting, and brokerage services. A strong reputation of integrity and client satisfaction is required.
Possible Job Duties:
- General ledger accounting for many of the company?s affiliated entities (~30)
- Financial statement preparation for multiple companies
- Consolidations and distributions
- Cash flow analysis and compilation
- Depreciation, amortization, and general journal entries
- Tax reporting
- Assisting in the creation of capital projections and budgets and project tracking thereof
- Accounts receivable/payable for multiple company-owned entities
- Fiscal lease administration
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Accounting or finance degree, required
- Effective communication skills
- Supervisory experience, a plus
- Analytical skills
- Highly organized & detail oriented
- Resourcefulness
- Proficiency in Excel (required) and Sage (ideal) software
- Strong GAAP understanding
- CPA license, a plus
