Assisted Living Manager Job Opening in Mesa, Arizona - Job Description:
Our assisted living community is looking for an experienced Executive Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality of care throughout the entire community. He or she will also be required to manage and train our healthcare staff. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in an assisted living leadership position, a strong ability to work with a team, and an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry.
Essential Functions Of Position:
Leads the overall community with specific attention to the nursing and direct care staff in delivering excellent care to residents and offering quality support to the management team. Monitors operations of the community on a regular basis. Ensure that direct care staff is properly certified and abides by the standards for care established by our organization and state and federal laws. Ensures all resident records meet state and federal regulations. Motivates employees through staff appreciation, and recognition. Promotes positive employee relations, addresses concerns in a timely manner and resolves grievances as quickly as possible. Implement quality improvement programs designed to help us deliver the highest possible levels of service. Oversees the community budget and guides department heads on community finances. Ensure census expectations are met and resident admission process documentation is completed in a timely manner. Oversee the recruitment and retention of qualified staff throughout the community, making sure background checks, reference checks and licenses are cleared. Communicates well with all stakeholders. Conducts weekly meetings with direct reports and interacts well with staff. Correspond with resident and their families and powers of attorney. Keeps Governing Authority up to date on developments. Oversees the building and grounds to ensure they are maintained in good repair and are clean. Ensure that all resident service plans are current and provide the proper type of care. . Prepares reports in accordance with federal/state regulators. Performs other duties as needed.
Manage and oversee the sales and marketing efforts to complete all sales
Achieve occupancy goals by generating leads and converting leads to sales
Respond to inquiries. Track and document all leads
Build community relationships and expand referral sources through external networking
Partner with management to develop and execute marketing, advertising and public relations plans
Manage inquiries and tours
Manage the move-in process
Develop and host community events
Provide staff training on customer service, tours and communication
Education / Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required plus a minimum of 4 years experience as an Assisted Living Manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold a Current Arizona Assisted Living Manager Certification. Must have a proven track record of integrity and performance, and an all encompassing knowledge of the Long Term Care and Assisted Living industry. Excellent communication skills and computer literate. Must exhibit sound judgment making skills along with patience, self-discipline, and compassion. Strong analytical and business skills required.
