Broadband Technician Job Opening in Andalusia, Alabama - Under supervision, performs digital cable, voice, and data installations and service changes for residential and commercial customers. Performs basic troubleshooting from tap to end customer devices.
Duties:
- Installing, troubleshooting, and auditing cable services from the tap to end customer devices.
- Properly operates and maintains tools and equipment.
- Follows company installation policies in compliance with MSO, OSHA, and NEC standards.- Responds to customer requests and answers customer questions in a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner.
- Prepare are maintain appropriate documentation in accordance with company and departmental policies.
- Maintains, organizes, and stocks vehicle with the proper equipment in order to perform required duties.
- Performs other duties as requested by coordinator in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Good physical condition including weight restriction in accordance with company policy to enable crawling, bending, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, and working with general hand tools.
- Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a Background and Drug Screen.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and organize effectively.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance record.
- Cable Installation experience preferred.
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
