Engineering Technician Job Opening in Jasper, Alabama - Tier 1 metal stamping facility is seeking EXPERIENCED Quality Engineering Technicians for multi-shifts. The candidate of choice is REQUIRED to have 1-3 years related experience in automotive discipline with emphasis on quality of material and products. Occasional travel will be required. The QA Engineering Technician will perform the following:
Learn and develop a thorough understanding of customer?s quality requirements from first part to final inspection
Assists QA Engineer with Daily Quality Audits of processes and products
Assists in developing, auditing and maintaining quality check reports and process control standards
Inspect material to assure it meets defined standards for durability, function, customer satisfaction, or any other metric considered a measure of quality. Will require the use of a wide variety of tools and machines such as gauges and micrometers
Investigate, analyze and countermeasure internal and customer quality issues
Recommend changes in standards, techniques and procedures as warranted
Use standard software programs to analyze and adjust data, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
Commit to company standards of safety through proper housekeeping of work area, machines, tools and all other necessary equipment to perform the job
Work independently and as a team under the supervision of quality management
Willingness to perform other assignments as required
