Role Summary/ Purpose: This position must provide excellent customer service as a Sales Associate and Cashier by greeting and servicing customers, assisting with the maintenance of product presentations, stocking product, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
Principle Responsibilities:
Customer service: sales and cashiering duties.
Maintain store presentation (ticketing/ signage) and in-stock standards.
Assist in keeping store clean.
Complete all cash register paperwork in an accurate manner.
Daily maintenance of the store which includes dusting, vacuuming, glass cleaning and monitoring other aspects of the store cleanliness.
Daily monitoring of an assigned area or responsibility for cleanliness, stock position, signage and proper presentation standards.
Maintain store presentation to WestPoint Home standards, which includes signage, ticketing, and in-stock position.
Monitor for potential shrinkage, i.e. ticket switching and shoplifting company products.
Always follow proper store procedures.
Assist Store Manager in opening and closing the store as needed, including balancing procedures, deposit preparation, and deposit delivery to bank.
Provide exceptional customer service using proper selling techniques to maximize sales.
Process all customers through the cash register procedure in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain SKU and inventory integrity when stocking and ringing up sales on the register.
Job Specifications:
High School diploma/GED required
Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Excellent customer service skills required
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, weekends and evening hours
Knowledge of common-used concepts, practices and procedures
Ability to act calmly when dealing with difficult situations
Employment with the company is contingent upon completion of the satisfactory results of a required pre-employment background check, credit check and drug screen.
