Warehouse Manager Job Opening in Osseo, Minnesota - Ceramic Industrial Coatings, a leading regional manufacturer of paints and coatings in Minnesota, is growing and is looking for a Warehouse Manager . The Warehouse Manager is an integral member of our Operations team. They are responsible for managing our internal and external warehouse and helping us continuously improve our safety, quality and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities include:
Manage all operations of the Warehouse - raw material and finished goods warehouse
Leadership, supervision and development of all warehouse employees ( currently four direct reports)
Manage all Receiving activities ? raw materials, packaging and supplies
Manage all Shipping Activities - outbound shipping of products to customers
Manage inventory with the facility ? organization or warehouse and safe
Manage all DOT and paperwork aspects of outgoing shipments - some will be HAZMAT
Interface with Customer Service and Production to ensure orders are shipped and delivered on time
Manage all documentation and use of financial and accounting programs as applicable to warehouse activities ? receiving, shipping, and inventory management
Leadership of the Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement Programs within the warehouse department
Manage Freight program and Freight suppliers
Manage key aspects of safety program related to facility warehouse activities ? DOT training, forklift training program
Manage DOT program for Company HAZMAT drivers and trucks
Participate on Site Safety Committee and Quality Committee
Participate on management team and contribute to growing and improving company performance
Qualifications/ Skills:
High School Diploma
Experience managing a staff providing guidance and leadership
Knowledge of DOT, HAZMAT shipping programs ( IATA, CFR 49 , FEDEX and UPS systems)
Minimum 5+ years hands on experience directly managing a warehouse department
Proven experience in managing outside freight vendors
Proven ability to use accounting and shipping and inventory management programs
Must possess strong initiative, and excellent communication, leadership and organization skills
Proven ability in problem solving, using analytical skills and driving continuous improvement
Proven ability and experience in implementing ISO and Lean Manufacturing programs
