PT Accountant/Bookkeeper Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Luxury Wholesale Manufacturer located in Downtown Minneapolis is in search of the ideal Part Time candidate to join our team. For proven professionals whose area of strength is in financial reporting, analysis, general accounting, treasury, audit and tax. The will maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, accounts, and statement reconciliations. We offer a friendly, business casual, small team environment. Hours: Monday ? Friday from 8am ? 5pm and includes Health Care and paid vacation/holidays and opportunity for annual bonus.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, accounts, and statement reconciliations by using industry specific MS/DOS application software and QuickBooks.
Maintain and create new excel spreadsheets as necessary.
Able to capably perform the functions of a manager.
Able to take on certain more complex tasks.
Record transactions in industry specific MS/DOS application software, balancing records and generating monthly and annual reports
Manage bank deposits, receivables and payables, collections and payments and inventory control
Coordinate banking needs, monitoring accounts and Line of Credit
Reconcile Bank, line or credit and credit card accounts
File Sales and Use Tax Returns and Payroll Tax Returns as necessary
Work with CPA to provide necessary information for fiscal year-end tax preparation and filings
Perform scheduled computation of accruals, property and equipment and calculate depreciation expense.
Perform other accounting, auditing and tax duties as needed in engagement and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Pay Sales, State and Federal taxes timely
Manage month-end close deadlines as assigned
Manage relationship with vendors, service providers including contract and pricing evaluations
Process and manage Payroll, track earned bonuses, reimbursements, PTO, HSA contributions and health benefits
Maintain Employee Files
Work with outside Healthcare Broker in order to provide the best annual health insurance rates available in addition to staying informed of health care law changes to guide the Business Owner.
Maintain Hazardous Waste reporting requirements
Provide back-up the Office Manager with answering phone calls, general office duties and customer service.
Scan and file documents and contribute to organization filing systems
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Able to effectively communicate with staff and customers, written and verbal
Working knowledge of MS/DOS based application software
Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Able to learn and become proficient in other software systems quickly
Familiarity with SEO concepts is a plus
Process driven and efficient, able to manage goals with highly accurate details
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Has the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Proactively protects internal and external confidential information
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Tech savviness a plus!

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting or Finance
