Job Description:
Hubley Phillips & Williams, PLLP has an immediate need for a highly motivated CPA with 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting. A qualified candidate will be expected to deliver quality tax and accounting services for our clients. Vacation, sick leave, health insurance, and 401(k) plan are available.
Essential duties and responsibilities include :
Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate tax returns
Resolve routine to complex accounting and tax problems
Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and consulting opportunities
Research tax issues and prepare memorandums and other written correspondence supporting research findings
Client accounting and payroll, closing of the books in order to prepare tax returns
Communicate directly with clients via meetings, telephone, letters, and e-mail
Qualifications :
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting; Master?s degree in Taxation a plus
Five plus years of tax and/or public accounting experience
CPA license
Able to operate in a paperless workplace with a proficient working knowledge of computers
Proficiency in the use of computerized accounting software. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and tax research software
Demonstrates? an enthusiasm to learn and expand one?s technical tax and accounting expertise.
