Teaching Artist Job Opening in new york, New York - Teaching Artist The Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation, a community baed non profit in North East Brooklyn , is seeking applicants for the position of Teaching Artist in the disciplines of drama, dance, photography and visual arts or other artistic areas for our Summer Camp Program. Our enrichment program will operate Tues & Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We serve middle school youth in programs that encompasses educational enrichment, recreation and the arts with a focus on youth development. Title: Teaching Artist ? Work with Site Director to design and implement engaging arts activities for students in grades 5 to 8. ? Work with Site Director and other Teaching Artists to produce a performance of student work, to which parents, school staff, and community members will be invited. ? Attend meetings as requested. ? Conduct yourself as a representative of the Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation. Qualifications: Must have college degree, formal arts training, and teaching experience. Experience with after settings, and bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Candidate must be enthusiastic and dedicated to program's enrichment and youth development goals, and able to work collaboratively with staff.
