Business Office Manager Job Opening in Las Cruces, New mexico - Welbrook Senior Living Las Cruces, is looking for talented, experienced, energetic and professional Business Office Manager with proven success in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting. Job Description
The role of the Business Office Manager is to direct the accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care industry.
Duties to include:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility?s accounting functions under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Review the facility?s accounting policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make recommendations to the Executive Director.
Interpret the facility?s accounting policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary.
Assist department directors in the development and use of accounting policies and procedures, and establish a rapport in and between departments so that each can realize the importance of accurate reporting procedures.
Provide leadership, supervision, and training to your team of personnel involved in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, resident funds, etc.
Qualifications
We are seeking a positive, talented and experienced candidate for this position. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare billing, preferably in a long term care/skilled nursing environment is required.
Must possess, as a minimum a high school diploma. (AA Degree in Business Administration preferred but not necessary.)
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
Solid leadership and relationship/team building skills- prior experience strongly preferred
Solid hands-on experience with medical billing including Medicare and Managed care billing required
Motivated with a can-do attitude: creates and fosters a positive work experience for self and others
