Payroll Assistant Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - The EmPower family (EmPower HealthIT and EmPower Nursing & Allied Solutions) is looking for another awesome team member! We are seeking a full time Payroll Assistant.
Please do not apply if you do not have payroll AND office/customer service experience.
Requirements of Payroll Assistant:
College degree or attending college
Experience with payroll/accounting (3+ years) or equivalent combination of school and experience
Experience using Word & Excel a must
Good with numbers, multi-tasking and focused in process driven tasks
1-2 years of customer service and/or experience working in a business office
Must be adaptable and open to lots of change and tight timelines
Open and accepting to a transparent, NO drama environment
Responsibilities of Payroll Assistant:
Payroll Data Collection:
Collecting/storing of time sheets and expenses as well as their approvals
Strong customer service, as you will be speaking with our consultants and nurse travelers on a weekly basis.
Tax Compliance:
Create employer tax accounts in new states and help maintain the current accounts. Assist with filing and account updates in current accounts as necessary.
Administrative Assistant Duties:
Order client and new employee gifts;
Input job postings into recruiting database and modify the jobs to be suited for advertising on recruiting websites;
Miscellaneous Projects for the CEO, Accounting Lead and the recruiting teams.
