Senior Tax Accountant Job Opening in South Pasadena, California - Established CPA and consulting firm looking for an experienced, sharp-minded and personable tax accountant to join our team. We handle a variety of clients including individuals, small to large size businesses, estates, and trusts helping them with comprehensive services such as business consulting in addition to accounting and taxes. We are looking for someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to provide outstanding service for our clients. The ideal candidate must be ready to work in a fast paced environment and have superior communication skills.
Duties
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations and individuals
Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, and responsiveness with a commitment to understanding their goals and needs
Participate in client assignments from beginning to end
Assist with training and mentoring junior associates on tax methodology and continual expansion of tax department and staff
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, math or other closely related field
4 to 20+ years of tax and accounting experience
Superior communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail
Bonus
Master?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related field
CPA Certificate or eligible to take CPA Exam
Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
Experience using Lacerte tax software
