Senior Accountant Job Opening in Los Angeles, California - The Senior Accountant is a full-time , salaried position.
Candidate will monitor and reconcile all agency cash and investment accounts, preparing recurring and ad-hoc reports as required. Prepare and post monthly overhead allocations. Prepare and post bi-weekly payroll and related journal entries. Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned. Prepare necessary documents for cash transfers between agency accounts. Upload EFT payments to banks as required. Review and release positive pay items.
Core Qualifications:
BA degree or equivalent in directly related work experience.
2 years? experience with computerized accounting systems.
Knowledge of banks statement and other account reconciliation essential, as is solid understanding of accounting procedures and journal entry preparation.
Must be familiar with banking and brokerage account transactions and have knowledge of what actions to take in connection with them.
Intermediate level knowledge of MS, Excel and Word required.
Skills and Abilities:
Well organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative
Strong customer service skills.
Nonprofit related experience extremely helpful.
