Category Finance Manager - Vinegar Job Opening in Mount Prospect, Illinois - The Category Finance Manager ? Vinegar is responsible for providing management with insight into the company?s financial performance by managing the company?s annual plan and periodic forecasts, creating processes and formats for critical financial analyses ranging from routine weekly / monthly reporting to a wide variety of ad hoc and what-if scenarios, and managing staff. Fulfill the roles described below by always acting on Mizkan-style values, ensuring compliance to Mizkan Group Policies, Procedures, and Area Rules.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a key member of Finance/FP&A team the Category Finance Manager - Vinegar is responsible for managing the following operational processes within the guidelines established by Finance Director.
Manage the Vinegar Business P&L. In collaboration with other stakeholders analyze and report monthly results and direct the Budget, Forecast, and Strategic Business Plan (5 year outlook) processes.
Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine the present and forecasted financial health of the Vinegar Business.
Prepare financial statements for Leadership review and provide insightful analysis on key P&L drivers.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support Business case / Category management initiatives for new products and sku rationalization.
Contribute advice on business process improvements, potential scenarios and likely outcomes.
Identify and provide proactive communication and transparency of all financial and business performance issues.
Streamline reporting, refine and/or develop of new reporting in existing ERP system and develop reporting functionality in BPC Budget/Forecast tool.
Provide analysis and justification for asset additions, assist with regulatory reporting, inventory accounting and valuation practice.
Create other analytical models to support strategic initiatives.
Manage, train, develop and motivate staff.
Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor?s degree and 10+ years of financial planning & analysis experience required
Robust knowledge of financial forecasting & financial analytics
CPA and/or MBA is a plus
Experience with Microsoft AX, SAP / COPA strongly preferred
Experience in manufacturing and/or CPG preferred
Highly organized, strong attention to detail, effective collaborator
Strong work ethic, high integrity
Excellent written and oral communication skills
