Parts Counter Sales Job Opening in Birmingham, Alabama - Vermeer Southeast Sales & Service, Inc. has served the Southeast for 50 years with equipment, parts, service and solutions for the underground construction market and the tree care industry. Vermeer Southeast has 9 locations including:
Florida - Clearwater, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Boynton Beach and Pensacola
Georgia - Marietta, Savannah
Alabama - Birmingham
Position Details:
Vermeer Southeast is currently seeking an individual to provide exceptional customer service in our BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA store through the selling of parts and available dealership services using applicable marketing/sales strategies. Assists in inventory management.
Accountabilities:
Build & maintain customer relationships
Interact with all contacts in a caring, professional, courteous and timely manner
Provide needed parts solutions to enhance customer equipment
Make quotes for price & availability to internal & external customers
Inventory Maintenance:
Assist in analyzing existing inventory levels, customer demand & market share trends to maintain a profitable inventory balance
Assist with returns and warranty issues, including filing & tracking claims and ensuring proper credit is given to dealership
May assist with shipping/receiving and may load or unload equipment
Marketing/Sales:
Market dealership products & services by soliciting customers through applicable sales strategies
Call on potential & existing customers for the purpose of increasing customer base, maintaining current customers & increasing sales
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. College degree a plus
Experience in parts operations and selling a plus
Forklift certification a plus
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand, read and follow verbal and written instructions
Must be able to multi-task and be detailed orientated with demonstrated follow through and organizational skills
General knowledge of blueprints, hydraulic and electrical schematics and of hydrostatic and electrical systems
Must have a valid Drivers License
Demonstrated customer service and inter personal skills
Possess typing and basic computer skills
Knowledge of industry and knowledge of parts and inventory control systems helpful
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to equipment
