Position Description:
The software engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating hardware and software solutions to a wide variety of problems. Responsibilities will include extracting requirements into design documents, implementing the design, adhering to coding standards, perform unit testing and configuration management on the developed code, participate in working groups, peer reviews, and other technical meetings. The software engineer must be self-motivated, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Required Skills:
Experience with numerical time/frequency domain analysis and matrix manipulation
Experience with MATLAB
Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems
Organized and detailed oriented
Strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment and interface with other software developers
Experience with C/C++ using modern IDE?s such as Visual Studio and Eclipse
Existing or ability to receive a Department of Defense Secret Clearance
Must be a US citizen
Highly Desired Skills:
Experience in requirements development and/or analysis for software/hardware interfaces and hardware/software integration
Experience with SW / HW avionics design and development as related to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS)
