Software Engineer/Developer (Desktop) Job Opening in Huntsville, Alabama - OVERVIEW: QTEC, Inc. is seeking Software Developers and Engineers to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. Qualified applicants will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a team of Government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support to both industry and government on a variety of programs. The successful candidates will provide software engineering support from requirements through design, coding, integration, and testing. Perform other engineering and logistics tasks as assigned by QTEC, Inc.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: ? A minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or other Engineering degree with 2 - 7 years of related experience EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: ? Proficiency in developing multi-threaded applications in Java with Swing based GUIs ? Strong communications and interpersonal skills ? Strong problem solving skills ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS: ? MVVM or other MVP-based GUI design pattern ? Unit testing / integration testing (automated) ? Basic Linux experience ? Experience using / creating DSLs, automatic code generation, implementation of code interpreters / compilers ? NetBeans / Eclipse, SCM tools (SVN/Git) ? Ability to adapt new code with existing code base, fluency with multiple software paradigms ? COBRA experience
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Candidates must be able to obtain or maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security
