Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working independently while designing, developing, modifying and executing manual functional test cases; Creating and maintaining test data
Documenting software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to QA Manager and project managers
Participating in all phases of the development life cycle
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Ensure that new and existing components being released are reliable and function as documented
Providing accurate testing and test planning estimates as input into the entire software development life cycle.
Verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner through Black Box testing
Participate in customer acceptance testing of the applications
Recommending process improvements that will facilitate the software development process
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree and/or equivalent work experience
4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
4+ years of experience in IT applications
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge and understanding of test plans, test cases, test procedures, test scripts, and expected results
Test planning and executing experience in systems (e.g. Bugzilla, TestRail, Quality Center, JIRA).
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
Good understanding of database concepts
Experience with test automation a plus
