The rapid advancement in cancer therapeutics has brought about incredible opportunities in oncology diagnostics. Now, a patient's tumor genetics are being discovered with next-generation sequencing and treated with personalized medicine and new biomarkers are emerging to help determine which patients may best respond to the third wave in cancer treatment, immunotherapies. GenPath Oncology, a division of BioReference Laboratories, an OPKO Health company, provides a comprehensive product offering across all tumor types, with a specific focus on blood cancers, common solid tumors (e.g., lung, colorectal, melanoma), and urologic cancers.
GenPath Oncology is looking for a dynamic, proven Marketing Manager or Product Manager to join our team in growing our robust oncology diagnostics business unit. Oncology has been a key driver of our company's overall growth and as a result, we are looking to hire for our growing business needs. The position and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience level.
The Marketing Manager / Product Manager position is multifaceted, requiring a combined skill set of scientific understanding and business acumen. This position will work closely with key personnel in our marketing, sales, medical, IT, and operations departments. Day-to-day activities may include:
Performing primary and secondary market research
Designing and launching national marketing campaigns (print, email, and advertising)
Analyzing sales and marketing metrics
Writing copy for marketing materials to highlight our product benefits
Researching new technologies and collaborating with our medical team for market entrance
Performing competitive research and benchmarking
Providing medical/technical training and support for our sales force
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals interested in the dynamic oncology industry to gain exceptional experience. The prospective hire needs to have a solid background in hard sciences with experience (or an interest) in marketing, or marketing/business expertise with a passion for learning cancer medicine.
Minimum Qualifications to be considered
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or physical sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry)
Healthcare marketing experience
4 years of work experience in marketing the majority of which should be within the healthcare marketing space
Advanced proficiency in , writing, and presentations using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to travel 20% of the time

Excellent communication and leadership skills
Willingness to take on multiple tasks simultaneously and perform all at high levels
Ability to distill complex scientific ideas into clear marketing messages
