SUMMARY
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for payroll and a variety of A/R and A/P tasks such as customer invoicing, recording banking activity, bill payment, expense reports, vendor statement reconciliation, credit card entries, collections and similar activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and process payroll semi monthly
Verify and prepare accounts payable invoices for approval
Maintain, organize and file accounts payable records
Setup new vendors, W9 tracking and annual 1099 processing
Invoice customer orders on customer accounts
Apply payments to customer accounts
Assist with researching delinquent invoices and facilitate timely payments
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
Communicate errors and issues in a timely manner with appropriate personnel
General ledger account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and journal entry prep
Inventory and track fixed physical assets
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Accounting and 2 years? related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Understanding of accounting principles and practices
Experience in full-charge bookkeeping and financial statement preparation helpful
Ethical conduct and the ability to treat confidential information with the utmost respect
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Organization skills and strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Proficient in QuickBooks
