We are a wholesale florist and we are looking for a salesperson to help us market our products to grocery stores and bodegas. This sales job would include canvassing stores on the road and well as heavy telephone calls from our Paramus location.
1. Hours: 7:00 AM -- 3:00 PM with an hour for lunch, Saturday 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
2. Vacation Time: 1 Weeks' vacation (5 Days) earned after one year of service, 2 weeks' vacation (10 days) earned after two years of service, 3 weeks' vacation (15 Days) earned after three years of service. Each year after three years employee starts off Jan 1 with 15 days of vacation time. Vacation must be approved by your manager.
3. Personal Days: Each sales employee starts off the years with 8 personal days.4. Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
5. 401K Plan: The company does some matching on the 401 K plan; more information on this plan is available from our Controller, Joe. The company matches contributions up to a certain dollar amount.
6. Healthcare Plan: There is a healthcare plan, and more information about the plan is available from our Controller, Joe. Employee and Company would share the cost of the monthly premiums.
7. Company Profitability Bonuses: More information about these bonuses is available from our Controller, Joe. The employees share in the profits.
8. Incentives: Salespeople have an array of incentives they can earn. The average salesperson probably earns $5,000 per year in bonuses. More information about these bonuses will be available during an interview.
9. Responsibilities: Salespeople make phone calls to a regular set of retail florist customers each day. 40 calls per day is the standard. Lots of sales time on the road visiting accounts in the beginning to build your customer base. Must have a clean driver's license.
10. Salary: The first year you would be at our company would be a straight salary. $17.00/hour. Salespeople would spend this first year learning and building your customer base. After one year, you would switch to a lower salary, but you would then start earning commission and bonuses.
