Director of Patient Relations and Education Job Opening in Cherry Hill, New jersey - This is a transitional position that will begin as a volunteer position and transition into a paid part-time position. From September 4 to October 15, the individual will work about 10 hours/week as a volunteer to help us with our fundraising campaign and also begin to work in the capacity of Director of Patient Relations and Education. On or before October 20, our intention is to make this position a 20 hour per week paid part-time position.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who has a passion for empowering patients and educating them about their patient rights. The Director of Patient Relations and Education will be involved in scheduling and presenting live presentations at the meetings of area patient support groups, will plan special educational events, will help promote The Power of the Patient Project nationally, and will work with our executive team to further the outreach and services of the Project.
We are seeking someone with an undergraduate or graduate degree in healthcare administration or public health. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. You must be skilled in project management, event planning, creating and delivering presentations, and have an understanding of marketing and public relations. You must embrace the importance of physicians and other healthcare professionals honoring patient rights.
Interviews begin the week of August 21. You must live in the Greater Philadelphia area. You must submit a resume and a cover letter. Before applying, please be sure you understand that this position will not become a paid position until the early fall.
