Position Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing professional support in the administration of office and accounting functions. This position is also responsible for ensuring consistent and effective customer service to both internal and external customers. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in helping Doll Distributing with their vision: Building Brands and Building Relationships. All duties performed are expected to be within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.
Essential Functions:
Reconcile General Ledger assigned accounts on a monthly basis
Update retailer pricing, wholesaler pricing, discounts, FOB and freight in the VIP operating system
Verify new product set up in the VIP operating system
Maximize brewery reimbursement of agreed upon discount programs and submit invoices
Enter depletions in VIP operating system
Update customer listings, assist with pricing and promo calendars, and reconcile monthly depletions
Process Non-AB Supplier Invoices through Accounts Payable
Process daily general ledger auto posting
Coordinate monthly credit card reconciliation process and make related journal entries
Assist with Annual 1099 Reporting; Annual Financial Statement Audits; and Minnesota Sales Tax Report
Enter and verify GL Code Keg Items in VIP operating system
Serve as a backup to Route Reconciliation Administrator
Other duties as assigned
Non Essential Functions:
Serve as a back up to Payroll Administrator and Accounts Payable/Receivable Administrators
Assist with Internal audits of processes, various locations and departments
Answer and screen phone calls
Reconcile the office route box

Qualifications:
4 year degree in Accounting or Finance. Two year degree (Associate) with relevant experience is acceptable.
Minimum of 2 to 3 year accounting experience
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Knowledge of relevant computer applications
Proficient in time management
Intermediate excel spreadsheet skills
Working Conditions:
Visual/Hearing Capabilities
The visual ability necessary to read and interpret a computer screen and differentiate product types is required. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required
