Summary: The Portfolio Administrator I is responsible for supporting a team of Relationship Managers in managing existing client relationships, including: following for customer information, CRM reporting, daily oversight of deposit accounts, assisting with loan draw requests, tracking loan covenant and reporting requirements, and responding to client requests related to both loan and deposit products. The position requires a banker with exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments generated by a team of lenders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
Responsible for tracking financial reporting and covenant monitoring of loan relationships.
Responds to customer support requests for both deposit and loan products, adhering to bank?s customer service standards.
Reviews and approves overdrafts within delegated approval authority.
In conjunction with the underwriting department, assists in the preparation of loan renewals following bank policy guidelines.
Assists in generating annual commercial real estate reviews, which may include performing site visits.
Coordinates draw requests on line of credit, working effectively with the underwriting department, loan operations and the deposit team.
Responsible for inputting and maintaining customer relationship data into the appropriate loan and CRM tracking systems.
Attends customer and prospect site visits with Relationship Managers to gain insight into the client?s business needs
Communicates effectively about bank products.
Identify and report problem accounts in a timely manner.
Prepares credit memos documenting changes in risk rating and other credit actions.
Leadership
Supports efforts of other team members.
Provides input to supervisor on policies and procedures.
Recommends ways to improve efficiency within the organization.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field. Minimum of one year of relevant experience in commercial banking.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to analyze financial statements and understand critical lending/financial ratios; Sufficient knowledge of Federal and State banking regulations (including but not limited to BSA, OFAC, Reg B, Reg O, Reg Z, and Reg BB) and Bank Policies pertinent to performance of duties to avoid regulatory violations.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly uses hands and fingers. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: This job is primarily performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet.
Transportation: This job will require the individual to call upon clients and prospects. The individual must be able to drive his/her own vehicle to and from customer locations in the greater Bay Area.
