Medical Office Administrator Job Opening in Sacramento, California - Busy cosmetic and medical dermatology practice seeks a highly motivated, goal-oriented, ethical, and caring individual to manage five providers and a staff of 20. The position involves working directly with the physician owners to oversee the administrative, financial, and development parts of the practice.
Education and Experience:
Baccalaureate degree in business administration, health care administration, or similar preferred.
At least 5 years of medical practice management preferred.
Strong financial background with previous experience in physician billing systems, accounts payable, general ledger, tax reporting, and budgeting.
Experience in personnel management and payroll administration.
Knowledge of compliance, personnel law, workplace safety, and other regulatory issues related to the group.

Responsibilities
Financial Operations: Maintains appropriate oversight of practice financials with direct responsibility for disbursements, financial reporting, budgeting, tax reporting, and safekeeping of the practice assets. Supervises billing, collections, information systems, and insurance processing.
Personnel Management: Ensures effective coordination of staff efforts, provides support and assistance to department supervisors, oversee staff training, and maintains compliance with standardized operating procedures and governmental regulations. Oversee administration of payroll and related tax reporting.
Communication with Physicians: Provides ongoing and timely communication with the physician owners regarding the status of the partnership and practice. Coordinates partnership meetings.
Strategic Planning and Practice Development: Identifies opportunities for practice growth and revenue diversification. Monitors developments in the local market and provides recommendations for appropriate responses and strategies. Oversee expansion of practice into adjacent space.
Practice Liaison: Acts as liaison for practice in dealings with legal counsel, accountants, and other consultants.
Management: Maintains oversight of the partnership facilities, ensuring proper maintenance and safekeeping. Oversees maintenance of supplies and inventories including ordering, safeguarding, and storage. Collects the rent and communicates with other tenants in facility.

Salary: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
