JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Financial Accountant for a small manufacturing company, responsibilities will encompass all areas in finance/accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, analyze and report gross margin analysis by product
Develop activity-based costing models which enable analysis profitability by product category
Construct data accumulation systems for cost accounting evaluations and reports
Provide cost estimates for new products and special projects
Perform A/P activity and monitor A/R activity
Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheets) to be distributed to owners
Analyze inventory, turnover, and slow-moving inventory and make recommendations
Process payroll
Prepare ad hoc financial data and analysis as requested
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
MUST have Cost accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks preferred
Strong computer literacy and skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
Strong organizational and communication skills and multi-tasking ability
Ability to put in additional hours
