Staff Accountant Job Opening in Virginia Beach, Virginia - Primary Purpose: This is a staff accounting position that will work on financial and sales reporting. This person will also be responsible for certain reconciliations and tax filings
Essential Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Reporting
Monthly Forecasting
Monthly Sales Reporting
Monthly Reconciliations
Budgeting
Personal Property Tax Filings
Surplus Lines Tax Filing
Issues 1099?s
Journal entries as needed
Special Projects as assigned
Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:
One to five years of General Ledger and Reconciliation experience
BS Degree in Accounting or related field
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
Highly motivated team player * Ability to work independently
Strong communication skills
Intermediate Excel skills (v look ups & pivot tables)
Dependability and punctuality

Salary: $40,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
