Construction Cost Accountant Job Opening in Purcellville, Virginia - A small family owned General Contractor in Purcellville seeks a Project Accountant to handle the following:
Subcontractor Accounts Payable, including a general knowledge of waivers, reconciliation of change orders and back charges etc.
Client invoicing using AIA invoice format (required) and must have a good understanding of this billing concept. No exceptions.
Job cost analysis and reporting. Must possess excellent excel skills and a sharpness to perform reconciliations between committed costs, actual costs, P.O. values, and under/over billings and payments.
Candidate must be a self starter, reliable, able to work in a small laid back environment, must have excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing. Must possess a "get things done" attitude and be willing to go the extra mile in this position. This position fully encompasses the entire process of accounting per project from billing the owner to filing your own paperwork. Experience using Sage Timberline required.
Candidate must have at least two years of experience in a job cost accounting in a construction environment.
