Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Schaumburg, Illinois - Accounting Specialist
An accounting position requiring sound knowledge of financial statement preparation, general ledger transactions, accrual and deferral calculations, account reconciliations and other record keeping functions of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
? Prepare various accounting entries to general ledger, analyze GL entries, balance and verify GL accounts daily, and reconcile as needed
? Complete monthly office closing process (for financial statement purposes), in a timely manner. This includes
o bank reconciliations o accounts receivable journal entries
o monthly spreadsheet calculations (fixed assets, bonuses, etc.)
o documenting footnotes
o analyzing income statement variances
? Prepare and maintain monthly trend analysis (office financial and operational results)
Skill and Experience Requirements
? Accounting background required
? Accounting software required
? Proficient in Microsoft Office
