Chief Financial Officer/Controller Job Opening in Skokie, Illinois - Do you enjoy an entrepreneurial environment? This four year old operation is structuring ourselves as an acquisition target or a public offering in the next 5 years. Our financial and accounting expert will be part of the team driving this goal.
You will report to the founder, but our expectation is that you will be self motivated and innovative. Our team of leaders operate with expertise in their own functional area, yet come together to meet goals. The new CFO will have arching responsibility to ensure we stay on track to meet long term goals.
The day to day responsibilities will be those commonly associated with CFO activities. We state controller as you won't have a large team and must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get the work done. Specifically we anticipate this role having the following responsibilities:
Complete financial responsibility of growing organization
Oversee all financial statements, closing and justifying books
Work with external banking, financial and accountant experts
Ensure strategic initiatives are communicated and executed throughout organization
Communicate vision of founder to other leaders
Prepare books and documentation as appropriate for eventual public offering or sale
Member of leadership team driving vision forward
Expertise in technology or International facing organizations a plus
Our new CFO will have deep authority into operations, as such, we anticipate candidates will have operational background as well.
The office is in the area of Old Orchard Mall. Convenient to the highway and most North Suburbs. This is an in office position, although as a small group flexibility is possible. We have a great benefit package and a strong outlook for the future.
Relocation is not available for this role.
